The development of Canyon Springs of Truckee, will provide opportunities to repair, enhance and maintain the open space:

• Selective re-vegetation will be implemented to restore disturbed areas, repairing damage caused by overland vehicle use and resulting from the Martis Peak fire that burned part of the property in 2001.
• Certain portions of the trails will be relocated to avoid sensitive areas, and the unused portion of the trails re-vegitated.
• A trail signage program will be implemented to educate and provide restrictions to individuals on responsible use of trails and respect for wildlife and plant life.
• The trail system will be maintained by the property owner's association or other organization set up for this stewardship role.
